VBAC Support
We offer midwifery support for women choosing an in-hospital VBAC. We offer this service in recognition of the special challenges that a VBAC poses and because there are few tangible resources for women choosing to VBAC. In Louisiana, Licensed Midwives' regulations forbid attending home VBACs. VBAC-ing in a hospital can be challenging, despite the growing mountain of evidence showing that VBACs are a safe and healthy choice for the majority of women.
VBAC Support Includes:
Because of licensing limitations, we cannot be your official care provider in the hospital. In the hospital, we will be limited to a role similar to a doula. You'll have all the power; we'll have none. We'll discuss this prenatally and make relevant preparations.
Our schedules often fill in advance, so please call to check availability.

- Guided healing from any trauma from previous pregnancies and birth(s)
- Nutritional guidance
- Structured advice for staying active and responsible in your pregnancy
- Help planning and preparing for your VBAC
